Looking to add a furry (or feathery, or scaly!) friend to your life?
In recent years, the landscape of pet adoption has increased tremendously. In America alone, pet adoption numbers have risen from 73 million in 2010 to 87 million in 2022, and this number continues to grow steadily. It’s not far-fetched to imagine a future where pets are as common in households as vehicles.
This trend is driven by the unmatched bond between humans and pets, fueled further by the social media craze for having cute pets at home.
It’s heartening that people are increasingly recognizing that the animals need their help and stepping up to adopt them. However, I urge everyone reading this blog to also consider adopting human children who are in need — those who are alone or abandoned. They too deserve our care and support. Personally, I plan to adopt a child myself once I am married and I’ll adopt for sure.
